About Covey Rise
Welcome to Louisiana’s Premier Gun Club. Covey Rise is a Louisiana-owned sporting destination that offers hunting, luxury accommodations, premium amenities, and sustainable food options to the restaurant & hospitality industry, and has prided itself on hosting guests for over 25 years. It is a local business rooted in the local community, and has built its mission around the concept of reconnecting with the outdoors.
The recreational offerings at Covey Rise include state-of-the-art shooting facilities such as skeet, 5-stand, and sporting clays. Skeet involves shooting clay targets that are mechanically launched from two fixed stations while sporting clays is often described as “golf with a shotgun.” It offers a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes. Our final shooting activity, 5-stand, is a cross between skeet and sporting clays.
And the bird hunting is renowned and considered the best available in the region. No matter what type of bird hunting you prefer, you’ll have access to expert guides, masterful gun dogs, and an array of hunting adventure selections. They welcome families, friends, coworkers, clubs, and organizations to join them for some five-star outdoor recreation. Whether you choose from the quail, upland mixed bag, duck, or pheasant hunting package, you can expect a trip that will create lasting memories and unforgettable experiences. As a preserve, our hunting season begins on October 15th each year and ends on March 31st.

The cabins at Covey Rise were conceived in 2007, and over time, 19 homesites were sold, and today, 17 cabins of similar architectural style reside on our own 220-acre site immediately adjacent to Covey Rise. We built the very first Cabin in 2007, hence the name “Cabin 1”. Along the way, we doubled the size, adding a Master Suite, a workshop and a double carport. The Cabin is decorated in the height of country luxury. A golf cart ride from Cabin 1 to the Gun Club, the Pavillion, or The Venue is less than three minutes, but it is also a beautiful and leisurely stroll through the pines of Covey Rise
The 19 homesites will not be added to, as the 220-acres are currently undergoing a donation to a land trust, and will be placed into a conservation easement. This makes our Cabin community highly sought after, as there will be no further development.
